1. 📱 The importance of curating your digital environment - Tweet from Dan Koe

This is one of those tweets that jolts you awake.

We spend the MAJORITY of our time online.

It should be pushing us towards our goal, not distracting us from it.

To make this more actionable...

I put together a step-by-step checklist you can follow to do a full digital environment overhaul:

2. 📝 Ten-Year-Plan for a Remarkable Life - Debbie Millman on The Tim Ferriss Show

It's funny how things work sometimes.

I was at the gym after working on the Digital Environment Design document.

I wanted to listen to a podcast, so I searched for the best Tim Ferriss Show episodes.

This one came up—with legendary designer Debbie Millman.

And wouldn't you know it, they started talking about an exercise to design the life you want.

I thought, "This pairs perfectly with the digital environment design".

It's called “Your Ten-Year Plan for a Remarkable Life”:

Write down what your life could be in 10 years, if you could do anything you wanted, without fear of failure.

Here are the instructions from Debbie herself:

So let's say it's Winter 2033.
What does your life look like? What are you doing? Where are you living? Who are you living with? Do you have pets? What kind of house are you in? Is it an apartment? Are you in the city are you in the country? What does your furniture look like? What is your bed like? What are your sheets like? What kind of clothes do you wear? What kind of hair do you have?
Tell me about your significant other, do you have children? Do you have a car? Do you have a boat? Talk about your career. What do you want? What are you reading? What are you making? What excites you? What is your health like?
And write this day, this one day ten years from now. So one day in the winter of 2033, what does your whole day look like? Start from the minute you wake up, brush your teeth, have your coffee or tea, all the way through until the minute you tuck yourself in at night. What is that day like for you?
Dream big, dreams without any fear. Write it all down. You don’t have to share it with anyone other than yourself. Put your whole heart into it. And write like there is no tomorrow; write like your life depends on it because it does.
And then read it once a year, and see what happens.
It’s magic.

3. 🤔 Why you should start when you're busy - YouTube Short from Alex Hormozi

video preview

This is genius.

It's one of those things that seems obvious after you hear it, but the way Alex frames it is perfect.

WHY YOU SHOULD START WHEN YOU'RE BUSY:

Imagine you say "I can't work out because I'm busy right now".

It means you assume that in order to work out in the future, you would have to NOT be busy.

Do you really think there will come a point when you won't be busy for the rest of your life?—NO.

Do you want to work out for the rest of your life?—YES.

So you should start when you're busy because that way:

  1. When you're NOT busy—you'll be fine.
  2. When you inevitably get busy again—you'll also be fine.

If you wait until you're not busy to start, as soon as you get busy again you'll stop.

My challenge to you:
Do 1 thing this week that you keep saying you're too busy for (we all have 1)

4. 📈 The Power of Compound Interest - Idea from George Mack

Things that compound (other than money):

  1. Build new skills (skills compound much faster than money)
  2. Invest in good relationships (massive impact on wellbeing)
  3. Prioritize your health (diet and exercise)
  4. Fix your sleep (impacts all areas of your life)

Do something every day (rather than once a week) in each of these categories and your results will explode.

5. 🗣 Pep Talk Generator - Poster from The Racoon Society

Not sponsored. Just thought it was fun/funny.
