I'm not going to lie.
I spent way too much time scrolling through the replies on this thread.
Here are 5 gems I pulled out:
Kitchen Tools: proper knifes and cutting boards, but also simple things like microplane, or the machinery, like Vitamix and KitchenAid - I regret it took me so long time to invest in these daily use items.
Eight sleep mattress topper. (I saw this answer a lot)
Digital shower temperature settings, bidet, turf instead of grass, old furniture instead of new, tailored suits, merino wool everything, common project white sneaks, nato band on nice watches, mid-sized suvs, high end beans and espresso machine, solar, laundry service
For me prioritizing sleep was a game changer. Lots of advice out there but 3-2-1 has been most helpful. Don't eat 3 hours before bedtime, drink 2 hours before and avoid screens 1 hour before.
Robot Vacuum, electric toothbrush, oil diffuser for a good smelling home (use organic natural oils), water filter, high quality nail clippers, custom insoles, heating/cooling mattress pad, hue lights (sets mood, ambiance and lasts a long time) and finally - a good pen (blue ink)
P.S. I booked a LASIK appointment today. 😂
You guys loved the last time I shared a "dumb phone" set up video.
Now we're back with the Dumb Phone 2.0.
I've been running the 1.0 version myself for about 4 months now, and it's seriously cut my screen time in half:
Highly recommend you try this out if you want to get some of your time back.
There are only a handful of essays that I come back to over and over again.
Paul Graham has written 3 of them.
"Life Is Short" changed the way I prioritize things.
"How to Do Great Work" changed the way I see my career.
"Write Like You Talk" changed the way I write.
Lucky for you (and me) someone has compiled every Paul Graham essay into a digital collection for easy reading.
You can get it here.
Something that's making my life easier - ChatGPT on desktop
I use ChatGPT every day.
But the thing I've always found annoying is having to pull it up in the browser every time I want to use it.
But not anymore.
OpenAI has released a desktop app you can use to pull up ChatGPT on your screen at any time. This is going to be a lifesaver for me.
It's currently only available on Mac (sorry to my PC friends).
😂
Have a great week!
